Sassy
Some would say that describes me, sometimes. But actually, it's my little dog's name. She is a lunatic of a dog - part Shih Tzu and part wild hare...lol. She doesn't have the extremely long hair a Shih Tzu has which makes her face look like that of a Star Wars Ewok.
Now, I've always had animals around me so pet care has been a part of my life for a really long time. We've had dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, chickens, a turtle and a few goldfish. I love having the animals but as it is now, I really can't have all that I'd like, so no more goats or chickens or bunnies for us until later on.
I need to check with the vet or PetSmart for flea medications. Sassy keeps getting fleas even though she's not outside very much. I think maybe our old cat (who goes in and out a lot) is bringing them in. Anyway, I do bathe her weekly and I spray inside the house for fleas, but it seems to be a neverending battle. So I think I need to pick up the drops that go on the dogs back or some flea pills to further prevent her from getting them. I know she is miserable when they make her itch.
Speaking of the old cat, she's probably about 14 or 15 years old now. She's white and has seen her share of battles with other cats. Her ears have holes in them and her right eye is cloudy and blind from being scratched several years ago. She was more Danny's cat than anybody's, so I'm trying to take real good care of her. Her age makes her a bit more of a problem so I try to implement special needs pet care to make sure she lives healthy for as long as possible.
