Learning about stocks

Now that I'm paying some out of each of my paychecks from McDonald's for a share of their stock, I want to learn more about stocks and stock options. I've never been a financial wizard so I guess it's time to learn these things. It's scary business to me, but the more I learn about stock options the safer I'll be when it comes to investing. I don't have to be limited to only McDonald's stocks, although I'm sure that's pretty secure. Whether I'll delve into this type of investing seriously, or just dabble in it, I still want to know about the highest return option trades. There's no sense in losing money if I can avoid it.
