Reviewing

Tomorrow, Thursday, I'll be working 2 to 9. Now, that's a real odd shift for me but I learned it's because the GM wants to go over the Basic Shift Management books with me so I get all that information down pat.

She's great that way. I figure her first assistant will also be helping me tomorrow and she's also a great person. I'm so glad I work in a place where the higher-ups really care about my success there. So, I'll do my part and get off the internet and see about finishing watching the CD-ROMs I have here.

As with any learning situation, there are some basics to getting information to stick in the brain as it should. Reading the material is important. But then, so is writing it down, teaching it back to someone else, and associating it with other memorable things. Also, hearing it taught is a way to help information gel in the mind. All these things need to be combined, and that's the way I'm approaching this particular course.

Because several people have faith in me that I can succeed at this, I am even more motivated to complete it successfully.

I'll keep you all updated on my progress.
