The diagnosis
High blood pressure. Ok, I already knew that's what the doctor would tell me. Hey, it's the reason I went to him! I make a little too much money now to use the free clinic, and I won't "pad" things so that I can continue it. That's just not right. So I saw a "real" doctor just like a normal person.
Anyway, my bp was very high because it's been over a month since I've had meds. All the meds were completely out of my system, thus the bp issue.
I liked the doctor I saw. He was plain speaking but not gruff. Just straightforward about things. He asked me my age, which I told him. He responded, "So, you're in the no-man's-land right now concerning health issues and finances." Yes, that would be me. You know, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
He wrote a couple of prescriptions for me and wants me to go back on Tuesday to have my bp checked again to see if the meds are working. He said it would take about that long to bring the bp down if they are working.
