Did I mention?

Elizabeth had a bit of a wreck the other day - Brandon's birthday. She was talking to me on her cell phone when a lady came out of a parking lot and just ran right into her car. E stared screaming she'd been hit and was totally upset. It scared me. She said she'd call right back but I wound up calling her.

She finally calmed down enough to tell me the details. The lady did hit her and it was obvious failure to yield the right-of-way since E was on the main road. They pulled off in a parking lot and the lady convinced E that they just let the insurance companies work it out and she didn't want to call the police. E called me and I told her call the police immediately, even though by that time the lady had left.

The police took the accident report along with the lady's name, her insurance company name (she didn't give E a look at her insurance card), and the lady's phone number. The reason E had the phone number is she had given hers to the woman, and the woman called her a bit later.

Anyway, we are hoping the police can track this lady down since now it's a hit and run. E's car will probably be totaled by the insurance claim, but that just means she gets some cash and still keeps her car.
