Performance at work
At work, we hear a lot - a LOT - about our performance as far as service times and quality of what we produce.
Write ups, both commendations and disciplinary, are an integral part of our business performance management software. These write ups are printed, signed by the parties involved (manager and whoever), and put into the individual's file. Too many of them can lead to suspension or even the loss of the job.
It's important to do these when necessary so that both management and crew understand that it's a business and not a social club or playground. I hate writing people up and would rather talk to them and help them understand their job better and help them learn new skills. However, those who have been there a long time and actually have the necessary skills and training really are without excuse for sorry performance.
