Ancient weaponry
Brandon’s friend William (the one who moved to the Seattle area), was very interested in Medieval times. He was especially interested in the weaponry. I used to tell him he should join an SCA group and explained to him what that was. He was pretty interested, and did say he’d like to go to a Renaissance Fair, but we never did find one around here close enough that he could get to it.
One of the things he really liked about Medieval times was swords and similar weapons. He had a few things along those lines in his personal collection.
He was also keenly interested in martial arts weapons. If nothing else, he is himself a very interesting person and actually knows tons of history concerning weaponry, especially along these lines. He left his collection with his parents while he’s out in Seattle, but he used to bring some of it with him when he came here to visit. He and Brandon even made a few from what they found around here, such as the pole-ax that’s now leaning against my house. It’s a home made example of a more ancient weapon.
