Wood working tools
So far, I have a miter/cutoff saw, a dremel tool, a palm sander, two drills - a tiny craft one and a large regular cordless one, several bar clamps and some spring clamps. Yes, you've got it. I like woodworking. Not big projects. Little stuff like things I made last summer and fall while taking care of Danny.
See, I made several sizes of knitting boards. I also made a few mold-and-deckles for papermaking. I gave a couple of them to my sis and Mom, and they have been into papermaking ever since I showed them how to do it. I even made some tools for the knitting boards and I made both double and single knitting boards.
Still, I'd like to do more woodworking but I need a workshop and a few more tools to really do things up right. A router would be great for doing a few different projects and might even make it possible to do larger ones. And it never hurts to have tips and tricks and education about such things. For instance, in what ways can I use 1/16 inch router bits? What about ones with different shapes? Can I make picture frames?
This type of information is why I've signed up for various woodshop newsletters over time. They have articles that help me do things more efficiently and also can save me a little moolah in the process. A router table would be great, too! Add to that, some accessories, safety equipment and information, and woodworking plans and you can paint me Happy!
