I'm out of style

I know I'm out of style because I bought a Hairdini today. Remember those? They used to be advertised on TV late at night, I think. You wrap your long hair around them, roll it like you're putting a big curler in your hair, then snap the ends toward each other. That's what holds it in. Nothing else. You can put a scarf or scrunchie or nothing around the newly formed bun on the back of your head.

Ok. Got it? Well, my hair is pretty long now but looks tacky down so I want to give this gadget a go and see how it works for me.
