Sermon brief
I posted about yesterday's sermon over at Sunday Message so you can read it there. This preacher quite often brings out truths in a way that I haven't previously grasped. I suppose that's why I like Brother Denny Distin so much and like going to the House of Prayer on Sundays. There's a family-like atmosphere. Pastor and his wife go out of their way to greet people one at a time, whether they are church family or new visitors. Others in the church do the same. You know, that's probably what draws people in and keeps them there the most - the general atmosphere of love and friendship that's exhibited.
They are accepting of all, without condoning the person's actions if they are in sin. Isn't that what Jesus really taught? Not to condone or approve of sin, but to draw the sinner so that they would begin to change according to God's word.
