Further truck problems

I don't know what's going on with my truck now. We put the new tensioner in it last week. Then, I found that I needed a new battery cable, so we took the one off my old car and put on it. So, today, I took Son to work so I could use my laptop in town and maybe work a few hours at the Store. I came outside to get online and my truck won't start at all. It's as if the battery cable isn't even connected at all.

I'll stick around until Son goes to break and get him or someone else to look at the problem. Maybe it's something simple. I hope so. I can't really afford to buy a battery or alternator for it now. I'm just about broke!

I realize that with a used vehicle there will be some problems. I just wish they didn't all come at once!

The maintenance guys were getting off work and suggested that the battery cable just wasn't tight enough in the ends and that the posts on the battery needed cleaning with a wire brush. Once I get back home, I'll get a wire brush out and let Son clean it all up and redo the cables. Maybe then it'll all be OK.
