Christmas Day

I was called upon to come to my workplace and let myself in to make sure everything was in good order. We're closed today but there is equipment inside that doesn't know that, so I had to be sure it was operating the way it was supposed to. (My boss pays me for this, so it's really ok with me to take on the responsibility.)  I also made sure that no outside lights would come on tonight, causing people to think we are open.

While sitting here, enjoying a few minutes on the internet, though, no less than 6 vehicles came around the store to order food. Hello? It's Christmas! The Chinese place across the road is open!

When I woke up this morning, there was a thin scattering of snow at my house. There's none in town but the wind is strong and cold today. My truck doors were frozen shut, so it was a bit of a chore to get them open to come see to my duties at work.

After a bit, I'll head back home to enjoy some of the cookies Daughter gave me with a nice mug of hot chocolate.

I hope you all have had a most blessed Christmas and enjoy a bountiful New Year!
