Insurance and stock
I'll be going early today to go to McDonald's main office and talk to them about health insurance and stock purchase.
Now, I don't know the first thing about stock but employees can buy it there for a minimal amount each month. And even if we stop working, we take the stock with us. I figure McDonald's is a good stock to buy and probably not real risky.
If the health insurance isn't too pricey, I'll sign up for it. At the very least, I need dental insurance. I have got to get my mouth fixed up. Getting older has its definite drawbacks where your teeth are concerned! But to remain fairly healthy, I really need to get work done before it gets too bad.
Brandon will go with me today since we'll need to head on to work right after this meeting. We work from 5 to closing tonight.
It's very early in the morning but I put a pork loin roast in the crock pot with onion soup mix and seasoned pepper. I turned it on high so it will cook by lunchtime. I'll fix baked beans and cole slaw to go with it. I'll also put barbecue sauce into the pork roast pot at some point before it gets done.
I'll need to run to the little country store this morning and pick up a pack of burger buns so we can make barbecue sandwiches. I need to see if they have a bell pepper, too, plus we are out of milk.
