Surprise!
When we got home from work last night, my little dog Sassy had decided a fun thing to do would be to tear the garbage out. Yes, we should have dealt with the bag of trash in the kitchen before we left, but we didn't...so she did.
I had dumped some flour in the trash that had gone buggy. She tore that around the kitchen plus other trash. Apparently it was so much fun that she also licked the flour and rolled in it. I had a gray dog when I got home but when I left she was black.
I got the mess all cleaned up but didn't bathe her right away. It was way too late at night and I was done in. I just finished bathing and grooming her. Had to cut off part of her mustache (she's part Shih Tzu) because it was caked in dried dough from the flour fiasco. She looks better now and so does the kitchen floor.
While I had a-hold of her I trimmed her nails and the long hair on her feet, plus trimmed some away from her eyes in that area just over her nose and under her eyes. Shih Tzus don't need a lot of trimming...just enough to keep their feet free of mats and their eyes from getting hair in them. Her hair isn't as long as some of these type of dogs, so it's not long enough to put up in a bow on top of her head. She doesn't have the "dust mop" look she should, but we love her and she loves us regardless. Honestly, I think she may have some terrier in her. She has the bouncy personality of a terrier!
