A garden of friends
That's what I've found at PayPerPost. I knew at least one person there already, but there are others that I regard highly now.
The forums are a wealth of information and the people who participate in the forums are eager to help. There doesn't seem to be a spirit of competition at all. Everyone is just trying to help others advance financially, learn more about posting, and help others with the html of their blogs.
They are also very quick to make an encouraging comment, which makes me feel good.
Aside from that, it's also a place where I can earn some money using my online blog and my writing skills. The offers are varied enough that I don't have to accept something that would go against my personal ethics or doctrine.
I also like that if, by chance, a post of mine is rejected, they tell me why and give me an opportunity to fix it and resubmit it. I can write naturally about real things in my life and incorporate them into the paid posts, too. That's a big plus for me.
But mostly, I guess, it's the feeling of community at PayPerPostblog advertising that really impresses me the most. It's business, but it's not so cut-and-dried that I feel like nothing more than so much data on their screens. I feel like real people are communicating with me and treating me like a real person.
