Gas money and other stuff
Kevin already gave me $5 for gas money for taking him back and forth. It's not much but really, with this car, it will go a long way.
We talked quite a bit while I was bringing him home yesterday. I quizzed him a bit about this and that. I learned a lot about him.
For instance, I learned he was homeschooled most of his life. He said he went to public school till grade 2, then was homeschooled till his sophomore year, when his parents put him back in public school. He told me after he'd been there just a little while, he was sick of it and asked to be homeschooled the rest of the time. (I knew I liked this kid but didn't know why..lol)
He's 18 now and plans to get his GED so he'll have a certificate, but for now he's just working at McDonald's as a maintenance person. He does other things there, of course, such as sandwiches, grill, and other backline duties.
We're going to try to get him to start going to church with us.
