Geeks Unite!
Ok. I admit it. I love office supplies. I go through a place like Office Depot and drool over the various papers, gadgets, and technology that's there. Even at Walmart, I tend to wander down the office supplies aisle and look at nearly everything on display. Sometimes I even pick things up to get a better look, and wish I needed whatever it is just so I'll have an excuse to buy it.
I'm even a glutton when it comes to those mailings everyone gets that have "deals" on cheesy kitchen gadgets or designer personal checks. Have you ever ordered those? I have. They are cute but they don't add a dime to my bank account. So even though checks are technically "office supplies", I really prefer to buy cheap checks through my local bank. You know the kind - plain Jane, green or sort of gold colored, with plain block text. Guess what? They work just as well as the ones with a fuzzy kitten kissing a butterfly!
But still in all, I am a geek and I know it since I like very much to have all sizes of colorful post note pads, various pens with different colored inks, some gel, some marker, some fountain, and truck loads of finely sharpened pencils all threateningly arranged in a sleek plastic offic organizer.
