Rainy days and Wednesdays

It's still raining. Been raining all night long, which makes the air damp and chilly this time of the year. It's also quite dark out because of the thick cloud cover, so the house is considerably darker inside. Conducive to sleeping, that's for sure.

I took Kevin to work this morning and picked Brandon up. Yes, you read that right. Brandon stayed at McDonalds all night because there were a number of things that needed doing. The general manager also stayed all night as she needed to work up schedules and do other things there. She would have done all that earlier, but she took the pregnant girl to the hospital to have her baby.

The girl went into labor quite suddenly at work, so needed to be taken in quickly. I haven't heard any further updates about it, but apparently she was really scared since she started bleeding. I'm not sure how much, so it could have just been "show". I pray it wasn't anything worse. This is her second child and all I can figure is that she didn't have any of this with the first one. Anyway, please keep her in your prayers. I'll update on that when I hear something.

The girl's husband left the hospital briefly to come get their pickup truck. She had driven it to work, so he caught a ride. He also works at McDonalds as one of the maintenance men.
