Alternate address
I am really curious about how places like MailBoxes, Etc. work. I know you can get an address there, but what address? Is it a box number or is it a street address or is it just a number they assign you? Just how does the address work?
I use a PO box for security so that my mail isn't stolen from my mailbox. It's far down the hill and we can't see it from here no matter how we try. However, there are some companies that won't send me things, even freebies, to my PO box. That's really aggravating since I just plain don't get mail delivered to my house. Even my credit card, bank statements, and utility bills go there.
According to Maildropguide.com, remailing services can be used as a street address, and it's always private. Now, I have to be honest and say I am not hiding from anyone so I don't fit that sort of category. However, there are times I'd like to send for something that ONLY takes a street address. Having a mail drop might just be the answer.
There is one in the nearby town. I think I'll go talk to them.
