Maybe your church, Sunday School class, homeschool co-op, or other group would like to take this on as a project. It doesn't have to stop at Christmas. Heifer works year round to provide poverty stricken families with livestock and other things, like trees, that they can raise, share with neighbors, sell, or use as food themselves. This helps get them out of starvation and poverty, making them self-sufficient, productive, giving individuals.
