Hot Corn recipe

As promised, here is the Hot Corn recipe I used for supper yesterday. My dear Mama makes this for nearly every family gathering and it's always a huge hit.

Hot Corn

Ingredients:
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) package Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans Shoe Peg white corn, drained
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped (optional)

Method:

Melt butter or margarine in small saucepan over low heat. Add cream cheee and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Combine cheese mixture with remaining ingredients in 2-quart baking dish. Add jalapeno peppers, if desired. Bake, uncovered, for 35 minutes at 350 degrees F.
