No rest for the weary

I was supposed to have a day off today. However, when I took Brandon to work I learned they were several people short of a full shift. At first, I was told it would be ok - they could handle it. But less than 30 minutes later I got a phone call asking me to please come in to work today.

Brandon wasn't happy with the whole situation since we got slammed all afternoon and had far too many people to really fill orders quickly. That, and we couldn't get hold of the GM to come in and help us.

When we finally got off work, Brandon said he was sorry that I had to work today. It wasn't his fault, of course. Things just turned out that way.
