Six degrees
You know, it really is a small world. I learned on Sunday that I have a great-nephew working for me. If I had declined Daughter's invitation to eat out, I still wouldn't know this fact.
That's the saddest part of losing contact with family members over the years. I really don't know their children or grandchildren. Some of them live in other states, so I am not sure just when I'll be able to reconnect with them.
These are family members that lived right in our hometown while I was growing up. So, sometimes I think I'd love to have a motorhome and go visit those who are no longer local. Just a nice long trip across the country - Texas, California, Washington state - to see loved ones and see the nation at the same time. We never know when a visit with someone we love will be the last time we ever see them.
