Gardening in May 2010
Part of Monday was spent waiting on the guy that was going to install my broadband. You know how it goes - they'll be here between noon and 7 PM. Yeah. Well, it was around 3 PM when he got here.
I got a few things accomplished at home, but really felt like I was wasting time waiting on the guy. Luckily I didn't have to work or I would have been very upset about this kind of "appointment".
Ah, well. When some of the rains stopped, after Internet Man had left, I did get to move my lavender to a spot that seems like it will be better for it, and I planted the rosemary I'd gotten yesterday.
What's left to plant are peppers, some cherry tomatoes, and more oregano. (My oregano from last year didn't survive the winter.) I want to get a couple of slicing tomato plants to help add vitamins to my diet daily. Other than that, I think my basic garden plans are complete.
I picked up three raised bed garden kits at the Big Discount Store. When set up, they'll be 4 feet across. I have enough bagged soil to add to natural composted materials from the woods to fill these three beds. Once installed, they should last for many years. Other than that, I'll just stack rocks for other beds to add interest to the yard and garden.
