Mother's Day and Monday

I know I'm really late wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day. I just wasn't near an internet connection Sunday, though, so I didn't get online at all.

Son took me to eat at a Mexican restaurant. It was delicious, of course, as Mexican food is at the top of my list of favorites.

Then we headed to shopping at the Big Discount Store. I was wanting some more plants and a few other things. Afterward, we went to a chain hardware/lumber store for a few more items I'd been wanting - big bags of potting soil and a garden buggy.

We were out and about for around 5 hours, I think. By the time I got home, I just unloaded my loot and headed indoors.

I was awakened in the wee hours of the morning by loud claps of thunder and bright lightening. This storm lasted several hours. After it calmed, we still had rain for most of the day. That meant I couldn't get outside and play in the dirt as I wanted today.

I have to work the next few days, so I may not be able to get as much done outside as I'd like, but I'll putter away at it a little at a time, I guess. Over the course of time, I should be able to get everything planted that I want.
