Christmas
I hope everyone had a blessed and merry Christmas!
Ours was quiet but I did get to visit Oldest Son and his family for awhile, then went to Older Daughter's and visited there. Youngest Son and I had eaten at a local Chinese restaurant for our Christmas lunch, but we were hungry again by the time we visited Daughter. She was happy to share the abundance of leftover Christmas dinner with us. She cooked like she was cooking for an army!
Younger Daughter and her hubbie came to Son and Daughter's house, too, but had eaten so much they passed on the second round of good food.
Older Daughter had cooked both ham and turkey, as well as mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and green bean mix (a recipe Sis developed years ago and is a family favorite), and Greek pasta salad. She also had her table loaded down with quick breads, cookies and candies she'd worked on all week. We brought some of the cookies and candies home with us, too.
She insisted that Son and I take some home with us, which we did. We had that for our lunch today. It was just as delicious the second time around!
