Christmas baking

I've been busy baking lately. I have baked a variety of muffins and quick breads. I've also mixed up some beverage mixes and put them all in 1/2 pint jars.

I still have some things I want to bake before Christmas and it looks like I'll be able to complete them all in time. For instance, I want to make some loaves of yeast bread with ingredients in them like herbs and cheese. Probably a couple of jalapeno cheese loaves, too. Those are really delicious.

Of course, we've sampled everything I've baked so far. Really, I do have to make sure they are edible, right?

I don't make cookies anymore mainly because it seems like such a chore to me. Some folks enjoy baking them, but the repeated put in the oven, remove from the oven, put in the oven wears me out. Probably the only cookie I'll make are Brown Sugar Shortbreads which are really easy, festive, delicious, and all go in the oven at one time.
