On the downhill side of winter
We've had quite a bit of winter here lately. No, I don't like it one bit!
We had a heavy snow and ice event on Sis' birthday. Then, the next week, had another winter event on my birthday. Happy Birthday to us, huh? At least the second one didn't involve icy highways and me missing work. It passed through pretty rapidly, leaving mostly wet stuff behind.
This week is promising to be more seasonal for us, though, with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. That's more like it! I'm a southern girl and I like southern weather!
Now my thoughts have turned to seed catalogs and gardening. I'm hoping to get some things started indoors, which means getting a couple of grow lights and fixing them up so that my seed flats will thrive under them. I really want to do more gardening this summer. That is, if I can keep those dang dogs from next door out of my yard.
