Camping season
Camping season is almost here, and I plan to do more of that this year. I need to pull some things together first, though.
I need a tent and a couple of air mattresses. I've got a couple of little propane stoves I can cook on, and plenty of pots, pans, and plastic silverware to take along. I need to get some paper plates, though, to save washing up dishes.
I might even get a bicycle and a thule bike rack to mount on my truck. Biking around a campground is good exercise and a way to meet new folks. Driving a vehicle all the time makes it hard to stop and chat with other campers.
Of course, I need to see that my fishing tackle is in good order and get my fishing license for this year. It goes out in about 6 weeks, so I've got a little time for that.

I used to love to camp but my wife's idea of camping is a 5 star hotel!
But, I can get her to go for a bike ride with me, so long as it is not too far and we carry something to beat off the dogs!

I've been camping once this summer so far. I hope to go another time or two before the weather turns cold!

If you lived around here, you'd be saying I hope the weather cools down soon for camping. We just reached a record 114 degrees today!!
