Sunday not busy
Started my day with toasted homemade bread with butter and jelly, and a hot cup of freshly perked coffee. Answered an email concerning some yucca plants I have for sale. Set up a time for them to come out and look at the plants.
They got here around 10 AM and bought several. They live in the town where I work and had lost the shrubbery that was at the front of their yard to the drought this past summer. They were originally from Texas and very glad to get the yuccas to replace the shrubbery, since yuccas are very drought and heat resistant. Nice folks.
I tended to the animals then came in and started some bread in the machines. In one of them, I used some Greek yogurt with honey that Sis had given me. My opinion of this yogurt is that it tastes just awful. That seems to be the consensus in my family so far, so instead of it going to waste, I figured if it will work, I'll just add it to bread. We'll see how it turns out. I'm just trying it with one batch.
The bread made with the yogurt didn't turn out good. It didn't rise much, was heavy and doughy. I guess it's chicken feed now.
Supper was pork steaks cooked with onion and fresh pineapple. I let them simmer for quite awhile and they were falling off the bone and delicious when done. I fixed rice, green beans, and toast to go with it.
After supper I just watched some stuff on Netflix before bedtime. I work at 3 pm tomorrow, but this dark, dreary day has made me feel sleepy and sluggish all day. I really wanted to go to bed as soon as the sun set!
