Christmas tree shopping time?
It's October. The past couple of months have really flown by, especially September! It seems like it should still be September, to me.
Certainly, the days are getting shorter and cooler. Halloween is just ahead of us. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Before you know it, it'll be time for me to break out my prelit christmas tree and set it up on the table in the corner of the living room.
I really like that tree.I don't have to do much to it but put the little stuffed animals that hold onto the branches by velcro hands and the red bows on the tip, and my tree trimming is done. I've seen these pretty trees decorated all sorts of ways.
We used to put up a big tree every year, struggle with strings of lights, some of which inevitably did not work, and find all the decorations to go on it. It was a major undertaking when my kids were small. Now, though, I prefer to take the easy way out, and nothing could be easier than the tree I have.
I've had it at least 5 years now, and the lights all still work on it just fine. Some years I'm tempted to leave it up and just change the decorations according to whatever season or holiday is ahead. If this tree ever fails, I'm fairly certain I'll be shopping for another one at Christmas Tree Market, though. That way, I can get the exact size and shape of tree I want, as well as maybe another color besides green.
Also, it would be nice to have one with LED lights instead of incandescent bulbs. Of course, I like the configuration of the tree I have, which is very narrow, so it doesn't take up a lot of space visually. I really should shop there now, if I'm going to shop for a new tree, because of the huge mark-downs they are offering plus free shipping. The truth is, even though my tree still lights up, it's really beginning to look pretty worn out!
Off to cyber-land for tree shopping, thanks to the folks at Christmas Tree Market!
