Saturday update

I guess my post yesterday was pretty short. Well, I know it was. I was really tired and emotionally drained from what all transpired this past week. I'm still that way to some extent, but I'm beginning to think more clearly now, at least.

We had a pretty good day today. Didn't have to go anywhere so that gave us both a chance to just breathe and rest a little - especially Danny. He needed the "down time".

My nephew, his wife and son, and his son's friend came over and visited awhile. They brought us some groceries and some gas money. I was brought to tears over this kind offering to us. I know they don't have a lot themselves, so they were giving sacrificially.

Nephew will be building a handrail and maybe even reworking our whole front porch soon. He plans to pick up scrap 2X's off his job site (he's a carpenter) and says he can do what's needed here with that. Our porch isn't real big so I'm sure he's right.

Danny's still been wheezing. The oncologist we saw Thursday said he can use Albuterol any time he's wheezing and needs it.

The radiation doctor took an X-ray Thursday of Danny's chest, but it was blurred for some reason so he took another one on Friday. We won't know till Monday what the results of it are. He's trying to find out what's causing the wheezing.

Next week the radiation will be done on the back of Danny's head as well as on his chest. Hoping to get rid of the small tumor that's there.

Tomorrow (Sunday) we'll go to church with our son Brandon. His tag is out on his little truck so this way he can get to church and we can, too. He'll get the tag Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday.

Last night we sat down with both kids and explained to them what the doctor had told us Thursday. However, Danny left some things out so I'm still not sure the kids are fully aware of how serious this has become, and what the outcome may be.

Anyway, we are still praying for a miracle and I believe God is well able to heal Danny, to supply everything we need (Look what He's done already!), and give us the peace that passes all understanding.
