All in a day's work...

We mostly worked days this week, but tonight and the rest of the week we'll work closing.

Last night after church we stopped by McD and found there would be only 2 people closing, and one of them is pregnant and very far along so she is limited in how much she can actually do. So, Brandon and I helped them close. He did it off the clock. I clocked in for about an hour, then clocked out to finish up. They don't like us to have overtime as it goes against us on labor.

I woke up this morning to a very cold house. We hadn't bothered to get propane yet but I sure needed it this morning for heat! I finally thawed myself out enough to go get a 30 pound bottle of it filled. We hooked it to the kitchen stove so I could also cook on it again. I don't use the stove at all during the summer because it heats the house up terribly.

I fixed chili for lunch today, using some leftover meatloaf broken up as the meat part. It turned out VERY good! I ate 2 bowls of it! It really hit the spot on such a cool day, too.

I've been doing laundry and now need to load the dishwasher. That's probably all I'll get done today. Brandon will feed the outside dogs and make sure they have water.

Since I woke up so early this morning, I think I'll take an afternoon nap. That way I won't be so tired at work tonight. It's starting to sprinkle and it's been dark and overcast all morning, so a nap should come pretty easily.
