Bookkeeping woes

Anyone who runs a small business knows that bookkeeping services can be very expensive. More expensive than they may be able to comfortably afford, really. I know that as an online bookseller, I don't make enough to warrant hiring anyone for any reason, and that includes a bookkeeper. Yet, it would be nice to be able to turn my facts and figures over to someone else to do that chore for me. And I'd like to know that they will do a good job of it.

If I choose to do so, I can use an online service like AccountingParadise.com, which uses a QuickBooks bookkeeping system. You can choose to do your books online for only $15.95 a month or let them do all the bookkeeping for you. For that, they charge a flat fee per month plus per additional page, depending on the package option you choose. This means that a low volume business would likely spend less than a high volume one. They don't charge by the hour - just the flat fees listed. They also offer a flat fee payroll system if you have employees. I don't have employees but I'm looking forward to the day when I'll need them to pull inventory that's sold, organize the books on the shelves, and track orders and shipping for me.

I'm going to bookmark this site for future reference. The prices are very reasonable and they are geared toward small businesses.
