Mississippi news - Part 1

We left Saturday morning at around 10 AM from here. We had intended to leave at 8, and I was all ready to go but no one else was. We stopped in town and got something to drink besides the water bottles we had with us in a cooler, then we got on the Interstate and headed east.

I drove. It all went pretty good through the whole trip over there. We stopped at West Memphis and filled the car up again, although it probably didn't really need it to finish the trip. But the gas was priced lower there than anyplace I'd seen on the trip so I thought it could be a good idea.

We got to Corinth, to the motel, at around 3:30 and checked in. We put our stuff in the room which was being cleaned at the time, then went to Arby's to eat. When we got back the room was ready and we were tired, so we laid down for awhile and napped.

I needed that nap. Driving that long distance is hard on me, but I felt a lot better when I woke up. Though the kids both napped on the trip, they slept very well in the room!

We stayed at a Comfort Inn, and the rates are reasonable. I was able to get a senior discount since I'm over 50. I tell you, I don't mind one bit getting those discounts...lol.
