New salaried manager at work

We have welcomed a new salaried manager to our workplace. She actually had already worked there as an hourly manager, but the stress got to her so she took a leave of absence for a few weeks. Now she's back and making better money. But, it also means she has much more responsibility and more hours she's required to work.

Already, today has tested her resolve. I tried my best to encourage her but I'm thinking she won't last long in this position.

She's pregnant, which can't make things any easier for her to begin with. But then right at the start of the day, one of the boys in the crew smarted off at her. Before it got too "big" with all the back and forth talk, I stepped over to him and said, in my best "mommy voice".."That's enough." He stopped talking and went back to work.
