Outdoor furniture

With the weather having been so hot and dry lately, hanging around outside wasn't really an option. In fact, it could have been dangerous to a person's health to be outside for very long at a time with temperatures soaring to 100 degrees and more, and the heat index even higher. However, now that we've had some rain and temperatures are lower, my thoughts return to an outdoor space where I can relax in the fresh air.

You all already know my dream is to have a small bit of land with a cabin on it, out in the country. I'm out in the country now, but living on a pile of rocks. No, I want something tree shaded where I could put some teak furniture in the back yard. Someplace private and shaded so I could cook out and just be myself.

Owning some teak patio furniture would mean less upkeep than there would be with conventional patio furniture. I've had the plastic stuff. It gets brittle and breaks after just a season or two. I've had wicker, and it has to be protected from the elements or it starts to rot and come apart.

But teak patio furniture is weather and termite resistant naturally. That means I don't have to be concerned with sitting on something that's full of chemicals that I might absorb through my skin. And I can engage in minimal care of it, yet still have it for years to come. It would be a much better investment for me, I think.
