Snow and other S words
To me, "snow" is a four letter S word. And right
now, it's snowing. Earlier, it was doing another S word - sleeting - which leads to slipping and sliding on slick roads.
I was sent home early from work because of the sleet on the roads beginning to build up. The closer I got to my home, the more it was on the highway, so I was glad to come home when I did. Since then, it has sleeted pretty hard and now it's snowing, which can't be good for driving condition.
I was cold when I got home, and the house was cold. I'd run out of propane! Brandon called Josh to see if he would go get some for me in his truck. He was agreeable to doing that, and was able to get it over here at the tractor place that's nearby. Theirs is a little cheaper than other places, too.
So, now I have the heater going again and I don't have to sit wrapped up in two sweaters, socks, and a blanket to stay warm!
I know these pictures aren't that great, but I just wanted some just after the snow started, and since it's dark they aren't showing up very well. I'll see what things look like in the morning.

We got a beautiful dusting of snow this morning. It was really fine, little snow flakes and it was thick in the air and looked like a blizzard. It didn't last long, but it was beautiful. It didn't get too warm, so I managed to stay in the house!

Our snow may have stopped for awhile, but temps will dip to about 25 or so, which means every surface will have ice in the morning. Ugh.

Glad that you got home OK. I hate driving in it. It's so dangerous. We just had freezing rain and snow, too. But, I was able to stay home.

Would you believe that after all that, we had sunny skies and temperatures in the low 60s today? It was a beautiful day!
You just never know around here what the weather will be from day to day. It's best to prepare for everything! lol
