Getting out
As I commented in the previous post, Brandon insisted on taking me out to eat today. We ate at an out-of-the way Mexican restaurant. It looks unpromising from the outside, and the inside isn't much better. However, they have some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. The tortillas are hand made, and all the food is cooked fresh when you order it, except for the actual meat ingredients. Naturally, they are cooked ahead for the sake of tenderness and time.
I had a chicken stuffed avocado meal. The avocado was lightly breaded and deep fried, which of course only adds to the fat content. But it was hands-down the best thing I've ever tasted.
Then, we stopped by Walmart so I could pick up my prescriptions. Outside the door, there were Girl Scout cookies for sale so I picked up a few boxes for us to snack on. They are expensive, but they are so very good and part of the money goes to the troop that's selling them.
It's been dark, rainy, and chilly all day, which hasn't done much for my mood. But getting out for a little while did help. Now, though, I'm ready to turn my shower faucets to hot and take a relaxing shower. That will warm me up and help me settle in for the evening.
