Brandon got a promotion

I think I forgot to tell anyone at the family get together that Brandon got a promotion at work. He's now a salaried manager, which means nearly double the pay. It also means working more hours, but not impossible hours.

He was pretty excited about this advancement. He said now, he can buy a house closer to town. Of course, he said a "house for us", meaning him and me. I'd like that, but I want him to have his own house that doesn't necessarily include me living in it. Not because I don't want to live in it, but he needs his own space and I need mine, I think. Maybe a better choice would be a house with a guest house on the property.

Of course, he might want some new things to put in house, too, in which case he might want to join directbuy. It's not an online store. It's a real store where he can get up to 43% off regular retail prices. Anyone who plans to do a lot of remodeling or refurnishing would do well to get in on this, I think.

I've seen the TV ads for it and the other day, I heard a radio commercial for it. I think there's one in Little Rock. I know people who have used this service and they are all very happy with it. After all, who doesn't like to save money?
