Where have all the houses gone?
In the little town where I work, there are small houses on the main thoroughfare that have been converted into commercial real estate in the form of offices and small businesses. Just about the time I see an empty house, I also see a sign about it being for sale and being office space for rent or the building for sale.
Right now, empty houses get my attention pretty fast or I probably wouldn't have even noticed how many of them are zoned commercial these days.

Hi, Ann. I was gone all week on a mission trip and just caught up on your blogs. Sorry you have to move, but then glad also. I just hope you can buy a house and all the timing works out well. I was going to say that you should also consider moving up to where your mom and sis live, though. Have you been considering that?

Yes, I had already actually considered doing that before all this occurred, but it looks like I'll have to find someplace else to live first, get Brandon settled in, then move near Mom and Sis.
