Financing a house

I am really new to all this and Brandon really doesn't have any idea what all needs to be done for him to buy the house we looked at. We did talk to the company that finds financing, though, and they said we could qualify under a USDA loan for 100% financing. That covers the closing costs and everything.

There are a couple of problems we need to work through. Brandon has never had a line of credit anywhere. For me, everything was always in Danny's name, which means I don't even have a credit rating. We were told to find something - anything - that's been paid on time in our own names because this loan will look at that, too. For instance, I pay for domains and hosting, which are automatically paid from my PayPal account and from one of my bank accounts. Those are always on time so I can use them.

Brandon has NetFlix, which is automatically withdrawn from his bank account. He can use that. We are racking our brains to figure out what else we can use, but truthfully, neither of us buys on credit. I'm sort of a cash-only person because I hate making payments.

If any of you have ideas about what we might possibly use, even something that "sounds piddling", as the finance guy said, can be used to help us better the chances of getting a loan for this house.

Can you use utility bill payments? Cable, television, cell phones, etc.? Has Brandon ever had a student loan? Car loan or lease of any sort (for either of you)? I'm guessing no student or car loans, but maybe the utility bills will help.

I left almost everything in Danny's name after he passed away, so utilities and stuff don't count.
