Long work week

Saturday made six days straight that I've worked. Yes, I'm tired but not as exhausted as before because some of the work was in the new McDonald's in the Other City. Because it's in a Walmart store, the sales volume is much lower and there's no drive-thru to deal with. Also, they close at 10 PM every night, so it's easier to get home at a more reasonable hour.

Tuesday was like pulling a double shift, though. I went to a manager's class Tuesday, from 9 AM to about 3:30 PM, then went to the Other City to close at that store that night. In all, I put in about 12 hours that day, although half of them were sitting in class.

I enjoyed the class, though, and was enlightened on a lot of small issues that had bothered me before. One of the higher-ups in the corporation gave the class and since he's been with McDonald's for over 20 years, he's the person to really learn from.
