Television

Moving out to Older Daughter's house means no more commercial television. Well, guess what? That's OK because we haven't had that in about 3 years anyway at the old place. If we want, we can get a satellite receiver. There's already a dish on the house. However, I'm not so sure I want to take on another monthly bill. The house is too far out for cable, so I'll be back to watching DVDs again, which is just fine with me.

I will miss watching HGTV, though. I sort of got hooked on that channel! Still, in the time we've been here at our friend's house, I've actually gleaned a lot of great ideas from what I have watched and I can incorporate them into the house we're moving into. There are tons of DIY projects that are very low cost, especially on the Decorating on a Dime program. Gotta love that!

I was also in the dark about some new products until I saw commercials for them. Things like the electric cutting tool that cuts everything. What a great idea! I even saw a commercial for communicating with family using used cisco for crisp, clean networking across the house or across the miles. I thought that was pretty neat.
