More days off

Thursday, July 16, 2009

Tomorrow is my last full day of visiting here at Mom's. I'll be sad to have to leave but I must return home and go to work on Saturday.

There have been a couple of very stormy, rainy days at Mom's. Still, we have been able to get out to do things around town in between the storms. For instance, this afternoon we went to a scrapbook meeting where I made a couple of cute greeting cards. I still have to put the finishing touches on one, but it will be finished by the time I am able to publish this post. I'll scan in the results and let you see them on a future post.

I can't wait to see your cards. I love scrapbooking, and I've actually been working on using up my patterned paper and cardstock scraps this weekend. I've made 4 cards and about 10 6x6 pages so far out of scraps, and still have tons and tons left!

I am not the most creative card maker. I think my talents lie in other areas, but I did have a lot of fun making these cards!

Everyone loves a handmade card (no matter how novice or experienced the cardmaker is). You should have seen some of my earliest attempts at cardmaking - I can't believe I actually gave them away, LOL! Mine are okay now, but it's not something that comes really easy to me. I just play with the supplies until a nice card emerges!
