Wednesday morning stuff

Since I now have internet at my house, I can sit outside on my front porch and blog or go on FB to visit with others. Life is good.

I've just finished setting up one of three raised garden beds. I planted Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes, arugula, sweet banana peppers, and cilantro. The next bed I set up will be home to a couple of hot pepper types. I can't plant them close to the banana peppers or they'll all be hot! I'll post pictures of what I did and how I did it in a later post.

Dog has enjoyed playing outside and laying in the shade, so that's worth something right there.

I had thought of going into town and doing laundry, but my yard and garden plans were calling my name. Who can resist that kind of invitation? Not me! I love being outside, playing in the dirt, watching things grow. I especially love sitting on my front porch, listening to the birds and the wind chime. Oh! For a job where I could just relax and do what I want, when I want!

I need to get regular tomato plants and some more flowers for pots and beds.. I'd like to have my yard filled to the point that all I need to do is weedeat around beds instead of mowing.

I might still have time to set up another raised bed before I have to get ready for work. Not sure how much I'll get planted in it, but at least I can get it started, right? I need a couple more bags of nice potting soil before I can complete my plans. Who knows? I might even get some more of the raised bed kits!
