Independence Day 2010

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

There will be lots of celebrations and fireworks tonight! Remember what this day is for - celebrating our nation's birthday and first baby steps into being and independent and free nation. That's what it's always been all about.

As for me, I worked this morning. When I got home, I wound up taking a long nap. Apparently I really needed it because I slept like a baby! I've been extra tired lately. I'm not sure if it's just because of the stress at work or what, but the way I've been looking, I really could use some strong wrinkle cream! Believe me, y'all, I see my face in the morning and I know just how washed out I look. I'm thinking it's time for me to pull back a bit, reassess my own life, and create my own personal declaration of independence.

I've always enjoyed my job, but lately it just seems overwhelming to me. I can still work effectively, but not with the same commitment and determination I once had. Now, it's become just a j.o.b., and I'm not liking it as much.
