Winter plans
If we have an icy winter, there will surely be days I won't be able to make it to work. I have a very steep hill to climb when I'm heading into town, and it stays shady throughout much of a winter's day, which means it doesn't thaw very quickly. Add to that the fact that the highway department doesn't treat the road way out here in the country, and you have ice that lasts days longer than anywhere else around.
Last year, there was an oil company truck yard at the bottom of the hill and those trucks were able to "beat" the ice off in just a couple of days. That place has closed down now, though, so there won't be a daily run of trucks up and down the hill.
Because I know I'll be missing some work (though I hate to put them in a bind like that), I have been looking for things I can buy at wholesale and resell on eBay. I don't care what it is, whether it's kitchen utensils, movies, or blackhead treatments as long as I can use drop-shipping. That way, I don't need to keep inventory here and for a small shipping price, the wholesaler can ship it to the customer for me. Seems like a good solution for me to supplement my income over the next few months.
