Longer shift than usual

I worked a longer shift than I was scheduled for, or than I meant to work, on Friday. However, there were playoff ball games in town which meant we were exceptionally busy for the afternoon and evening. By the time I did leave, I was pretty much exhausted.

I got home and immediately got ready for bed. I fell asleep almost right away and then woke up in the wee hours of the morning Saturday, still groggy but not really sleepy. Now I'm almost fully awake and thinking about making a fresh pot of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal.

I work at 11 A.M. again today (Saturday) so I really should get a little more rest. It doesn't look like it's going to happen, though.
