Silly conversation

So, the other day Son and I were talking. I shared with him that one of the guys I graduated with is now a lawyer, and has been for some time. (Well, we graduated in '70 so what do you expect?)

He responded that he'd heard it takes about 12 years to become a lawyer.

I said, "Well, lottalottalern."

What?

"Lottalottalern."

What??

"There is a lot of law to learn!"
